gives a rich brown colour used on its own it is sometimes used to give a more granular effect ,or lends more grainy effects to a glaze. The ore contains titanium and iron oxide. Analysis FeO2 TiO2

All photographs show the oxide used in combination with JSC earthenware transparent glaze fired to 1140ºC. The results will vary depending on what glaze you use.
