Hand Building Workshops
Build a beautiful ceramic jug, platter or iconic wall using slabs of clay, texture and colour you will construct, step by step, a beautiful hand build ceramic jug.

How long do the workshops last?
All workshops are around 2.5 hours long.
What does the price include?
All equipment, materials and firings, step by step tuition and a nice cup of tea coffee or cold drinks.
How does it work?
You are provided with ready rolled out slabs of clay, loads of interesting texturising tools and a good selection of coloured slips. You will design your item then be taught step by step how to construct it and decorate the surface. All work is left with me to dry out, bisque fire, hand glaze with a transparent glaze and glaze fire for you to pick up up to three weeks later. Postage can also be arranged.
How many places are there?
I can accommodate up to 7 people in my studio.
What age is it for?
Mostly the workshops fill up with adult participants but it is completely fine for young people from 10 years upwards. All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult also booked onto the workshop.
How much does it cost?
All Hand building workshops cost £60 per participant.

If you have a group of 4 or more people (adults or children) then you can book a private workshop at a time that suits you! Perfect for birthday parties, team building or just lovely family time. You can even bring along your own wine and nibbles if you like! Please Contact Me for details

Other Hand building workshops, such as mug and plate, tile sets, serving bowls etc. can be arranged. Please ask me for details.
Hand building techniques and also throwing on the wheel
You can book a minimum of two hours private tuition with me for £75 if you would like a one to one learning experience – perfect for throwing tuition.
I can get most people to throw a pot in their first session!
All classes are £20 per session if you pay weekly, or £18 per session if you book and pay for a whole term in advance. Class fees include all materials and firings. If you are making huge items, or bringing in extra work there will be a separate charge for firing.
Please pay by cash,cheque or card – in person, at the beginning of term. I don’t currently accept online payments for regular classes.
Classes get quite booked up but people do come and go so you might be lucky or I can put you on a waiting list and contact you when a space becomes available.
